Gadwal, April 14: Basu Hanumanthu Naidu, the BRS party in-charge for Gadwal Constituency, said that every citizen should take inspiration from Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s ideals. He made these remarks while taking part in Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations held in several villages and in Gadwal town.
The event marked the 134th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, who was a key figure in writing the Indian Constitution and was honored with the Bharat Ratna award. Naidu joined special programs organized at Ganjipeta Colony in Gadwal, Elkoor village in Maldakal mandal, and Guvvala Deenne village in K.T. Doddi mandal. These events were led by BRS Youth Leader Ganjipeta Raju and others.
At each location, Naidu paid his respects by offering flower garlands and breaking coconuts at Dr. Ambedkar’s statues. These acts were done to honor Ambedkar’s memory and his contributions to the country.
Speaking at the events, Naidu said that Dr. Ambedkar was a visionary who devoted his life to fighting for justice and equal rights, especially for those who faced social discrimination and untouchability. He mentioned that Telangana’s first government had launched many welfare programs, like Dalit Bandhu, inspired by Ambedkar’s vision. Naidu added that these projects have shown good results over the past ten years.
He also highlighted that Telangana built the world’s tallest statue of Dr. Ambedkar, standing at 125 feet. He said this statue shows the state’s deep respect and gratitude for Ambedkar’s legacy.
Many BRS leaders, party members, youth, and supporters attended the celebrations. Some of those present included Monesh, Chakridhara Rao, D. Shekhar Naidu, Tower Mukbal, Raju Naidu, Sri Ramulu, Tirumalesh, Md. Maj, Basu Bojjayya Naidu, Samelu, Muni Maurya, Narasimhulu, Nagaraju, Thimmappa, and many others.
