Hyderabad: A leader from the BRS party criticized the BJP’s promise of appointing a Chief Minister from the Backward Caste community if they win the election. The leader, Kishore Goud, stated that nobody would trust the BJP’s claims. Goud also accused the BJP of having a history of working against the Backward Castes.

Goud compared Amit Shah’s words to a chameleon, suggesting that even a chameleon would be hesitant to associate with the BJP. He further pointed out that during their ten-year tenure, the BJP did not establish a separate ministry for Backward Castes in the Central government. Therefore, the Backward Castes would not believe the BJP’s promises.

Goud highlighted that despite the nationwide demand for a Backward Caste census, the BJP opposed it and prevented its implementation in Parliament. Additionally, he mentioned that the BJP failed to provide a sub-quota for Backward Caste women in the Women’s Reservation Bill. Consequently, Goud asserted that no one would trust the BJP’s pledge to appoint a Chief Minister from the Backward Caste community.
