Bhadrachalam Temple Goes Digital for Devotees

The Bhadrachalam Sitarama Chandra Swamy Devasthanam is now fully computerized, with all its branches connected to online services. This means that devotees can now access various services, including booking accommodation rooms, through the internet. The temple is prioritizing transparency and improving infrastructure to better serve the devotees.

Devotees can now book 16 air-conditioned (AC) cottages, as well as both AC and non-AC rooms in Sri Ramanilayam, Soumitri, and Sri Ramasadanam, all online. Additionally, 24 different types of puja services are available for booking online. The response from devotees to these online services has been very positive.

Previously, VIPs and VVIPs would often get the majority of tickets for special pujas held on Sundays. However, by making these tickets available online, the temple has made it easier for ordinary devotees to participate in these services. Many devotees are now regularly purchasing tickets online for the early morning Suprabhata Seva and the evening Pavalimpa services.

The digitalization of services has also helped eliminate corrupt practices by temple staff.

On Wednesday, MLA Dr. T. Venkat Rao officially launched the temple’s new digital services. As part of the changes, tokens for Annadanam (free food distribution) are now being distributed to devotees from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM. There had previously been complaints about the misuse of these tokens and protocol tokens, but the new digital system aims to prevent such issues.

“Digitalization will help stop corruption and irregularities, ensure transparency, and provide all necessary facilities to the devotees. We are committed to making sure that ordinary devotees are not troubled. This is why we are implementing these services,” said EO Ramadevi.
