Hyderabad aims to become a leader in app design, according to Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu. Speaking at the 21st International Conference on User Experience & Product Design, or UX India 25, he stated that the city can adopt any technology and lead in innovation. He believes design should be more than just looks; it should drive social change.
The Deputy CM highlighted that while smartphones are essential today, an app’s success lies in its ease of use. The Telangana government supports digital access and startups with policies like TS-iPASS. He mentioned the success of simple apps like UPI in India and stressed the importance of creating apps in local languages to help rural users.
IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu announced plans to open a “Center of Excellence in Design” to make Hyderabad a global design hub. Through initiatives like T-Hub, T-Works, and WE Hub, the government is working to turn Telangana into an innovation center.
Design is crucial in the state’s “AI Innovation Hub” project. The Minister explained that creativity and user-friendliness are key to successful apps and websites. He urged viewing AI challenges as opportunities and confirmed the government’s dedication to supporting startups with fresh ideas.
