The political activities in Telangana Assembly elections have become more intense. The BJP changed its candidates for Vemulawada and Sangareddy at the last minute. Tula Uma and Rajeswara Rao Deshpande were initially given the tickets for Vemulawada and Sangareddy respectively, but the BJP made a last-minute decision to replace them. Dr Vikas Rao, son of former governor Vidyasagar Rao, was given the ticket for Vemulawada, and Puli Mamidi Raju was given the ticket for Sangareddy.
The Congress party also made changes to its candidates. Sanjeev Reddy was announced as the candidate for Narayankhed, but Suresh Shetkar’s name was initially announced. After discussions between Shetkar and Reddy, they reached a reconciliation and Shetkar agreed to support Reddy. Damodar Reddy was chosen as the Congress candidate from Suryapet, while Patel Ramesh Reddy expressed disappointment for not receiving a ticket.
