BJP Leader Visits Tailoring Training Center
Gadwal: BJP District President, Ramachandra Reddy, visited the tailoring training center under the Prime Minister Vishwakarma Yojana. During his visit, he mentioned that 50% of the applications submitted for the scheme have already been verified. He requested Joint Collector Srinivas Rao to speed up the verification process for the remaining 50% of applications from both rural and urban areas, so that letters can be issued to all beneficiaries.
Reddy explained that applicants can have their applications verified through their local Municipalities or Gram Panchayat Secretaries. To streamline the process, he submitted a petition to the Joint Collector, suggesting that applicants should be contacted by only one center, as there were reports of multiple centers reaching out to the same individuals.
As part of the scheme, Ramachandra Reddy shared that beneficiaries will receive PM Vishwakarma digital certificates and IDs. Additionally, they will get a toolkit worth up to ₹15,000 as an incentive after completing their training. Beneficiaries will also receive a stipend of ₹500 per day after completing a 7-day basic training course.
He further explained that beneficiaries who are eligible for loans up to ₹1 lakh will receive financial support. Out of this amount, ₹30,000 will be covered by the central government. This sum will go towards half of the interest, training costs, and the toolkit.
The PM Vishwakarma Yojana supports 18 traditional trades, including carpentry, blacksmithing, goldsmithing, pottery, and masonry. Reddy emphasized that the scheme is crucial for helping middle-class families improve their financial situation.
In his closing remarks, Reddy commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision to make India the third-largest economy by 2029. He also praised Modi’s goal to make India the number one country by 2047, marking 100 years of India’s independence.
The event was attended by several prominent BJP leaders, including District General Secretary Ravikumar, former Assembly Convenor Ram Anjaneyulu, District OBC Morcha President Devadas, and others.
