Telangana State BJP has complained to the state Chief Electoral Officer about Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy allegedly violating election rules. The complaint was made by BJP state general secretary, Dr Kasam Venkateswarlu. He said that after voting in Kodangal in Mahabubnagar parliamentary constituency, the Chief Minister held a media conference broadcasted live on TV channels between 11.40 am and 12.30 pm on Monday. According to Venkateswarlu, this violates Section 126 of the Representation of Peoples Act and the Model Code of Conduct.

During the media conference, CM Revanth Reddy reportedly made statements like ‘People have decided not to vote for BJP’, ‘I urge all voters to choose Congress in Mahabubnagar’, ‘Magic figure is a dream for BJP’, ‘Modi and ED combination won’t work in Telangana’, and ‘BJP’s popularity has drastically decreased.’
