Hyderabad: N. Ramchander Rao, the BJP Telangana state president, warned people about the deceptive strategies of the Congress party and its state government.

On Tuesday, he claimed that the current urea shortage in the state results from the Telangana government’s mismanagement and black marketing, not a lack of supply from the Centre. He accused the state of allowing middlemen to create a fake scarcity, despite the Modi government providing enough urea for the Rabi season.

While speaking to party members in Peddapalli, Rao insisted that the Centre delivered sufficient urea for farmers. He criticized the state government for enabling the black market of fertilizers.

Rao also mentioned several developmental and welfare projects initiated by the Centre for farmers. He noted that nearly Rs 20,000 crore worth of projects have been undertaken in the Peddapalli constituency for infrastructure, irrigation, and agriculture. Rao criticized Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy for his protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, accusing him of political drama. He stated that Reddy’s government cannot implement 42% reservations for backward classes and is blaming the Centre to hide its failures.

As part of expanding the party, Rao welcomed Nalla Manohar Reddy, a former BRS leader, along with over 300 workers from BRS and Congress into the BJP. Rao gave them party scarves, highlighting the BJP’s growing support in the district.
