Mahabubabad: On Kargil Vijay Diwas, BJP Telangana State president N. Ramchander Rao honored soldiers who died in the 1999 Kargil War. He praised their courage, noting how they stopped Pakistan’s dangerous plans and protected India’s sovereignty.
During his two-day visit to southern Telangana, Rao spoke in Balanagar on Saturday. He remembered the Kargil infiltration by Pakistani militants and commended the Indian Army’s strong response under Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee. This victory was a significant show of bravery and patriotism that should always be remembered.
Rao mentioned that Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated across the country, with the BJP and Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) organizing various events.
He noted that even children are actively participating, showing their patriotism and honoring the Indian armed forces’ legacy.
Rao also spoke about the ongoing threat from terrorism. He pointed out that while direct military threats from Pakistan have reduced, terrorist activities continue. He affirmed that India has changed—now, every citizen is ready to defend the nation, not just the soldiers.
