Hyderabad: On Sunday, several BJP legislators accused TPCC Chief Mahesh Kumar Goud of secretly working with BRS leader K Chandrasekhar Rao. They claimed he is plotting against BJP MP Eatala Rajender.

In a statement, BJP MLAs Dhanpal Suryanarayana Gupta, Rama Rao Pawar, Paidi Rakesh Reddy, and Palvai Harish Babu accused Mahesh Kumar Goud of trying to ruin MP Rajender’s reputation. They alleged that Goud falsely claimed Rajender met BRS MLA Harish Rao at a Shamirpet farmhouse and discussed matters with former CM KCR concerning the Kaleshwaram project inquiry.

The BJP legislators demanded that evidence of this alleged meeting be provided within 24 hours. Otherwise, they challenged Goud to admit his mistake and apologize for spreading false stories aimed at damaging Rajender’s and the BJP’s image.

They praised Eatala Rajender as a respected leader from the BC community who has served the people and gained wide respect through his roles in the Telangana movement and as a minister. The BJP leaders believe Congress struggles to accept not having a leader like Rajender and accused Mahesh Kumar Goud of trying to damage his reputation.

The BJP members further claimed that in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Mahesh Kumar Goud, from Nizamabad, indirectly supported BRS candidate Kavitha over his own party’s candidate, Madhu Yashki Goud. They suggested Goud is now trying to bring Kavitha into Congress for a ministerial role, due to his past connections.
