A BJP delegation, led by State general secretary Gujjula Premender Reddy, complained to the Election Commission about a morphed video of Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s speech. They alleged that the TPCC social media posted the video, which misrepresented Shah’s words at a public meeting in Medak.

The BJP leaders met with State Chief Electoral Officer Vikas Raj on Saturday to express their concerns. They claimed that Shah had actually said that if the BJP government were to come into power, it would cancel reservations for Muslims that were deemed unconstitutional. Instead, the SC/ST and OBCs in Telangana would be granted their rightful reservations by cancelling those designated for Muslims.

The complaint stated that the Telangana Pradesh Congress party president and CM had shared the altered video on his Twitter account. The modified video suggested that if the BJP were to form a government, it would cancel reservations for SC/ST and OBCs.
