Hyderabad: The BJP OBC Morcha plans a significant protest at Dharna Chowk, Indira Park on Saturday at 11 AM. They demand the Congress Party fulfill promises made to Backward Classes (BCs) in the Kamareddy BC Declaration before the last Assembly elections.
This protest aims to push for BC rights and ensure promises are kept. Key BJP figures, including N. Ramachander Rao, G. Kishan Reddy, Bandi Sanjay Kumar, Dr. K. Laxman, R. Krishnaiah, Alleti Maheshwar Reddy, AVN Reddy, and G. Anand Goud, will be present.
BJP leaders accuse the Congress government of not keeping its promise to BCs, especially the 42% reservation pledge. Despite having the power to act, the Congress-led government has delayed action, citing legal and political hurdles.
The protest is meant to raise awareness and demand action, challenging narratives that harm BC communities. BJP members from across the state, including MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and other officials, will join the protest.
“It’s time to make Congress answerable. BC voices must be heard,” stated a senior BJP representative.
