BRS leaders criticized Union Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Monday for his remarks against KCR. They claimed Sanjay frequently insults their party leader.
During a press briefing, former MP B Vinod Kumar, along with Gangula Kamalakar and D Saravan Kumar, accused Sanjay of misunderstanding and deliberately spreading falsehoods about KCR.
Vinod Kumar questioned Sanjay’s silence on the Congress increasing the cost of the crucial Chevella project by Rs 40,000 crore before construction began.
The BRS leader highlighted that with the BJP in power both at the Centre and in Maharashtra, and with Sanjay and G Kishan Reddy as Union Ministers, they should work with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to get approval for the Tummidihatti project at 152 metres. “We give him two months,” Vinod Kumar stated. He challenged Sanjay to bring water from Tummidihatti to Yellampalli by gravity. “If you succeed, Bandi Sanjay, we will honor you,” he added, urging them to secure funding and national status for the project.
Vinod Kumar praised KCR for choosing the Kaleshwaram lifting point near Medigadda for its reliable water supply. He acknowledged KCR’s role in achieving Telangana statehood and its development.
He dared the BJP to build the Tummidihatti project and referenced KCR’s actions when Mid Manair was damaged, noting KCR repaired it without blaming others and ensured water supply. He questioned the BJP’s claims that giving national status to Kaleshwaram would be shameful and asked why they ignore issues like the damage to the Polavaram project, funded by the central government.
