In Hyderabad, opposition leader G Jagadish Reddy countered Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s claim that no new ration cards were distributed by the BRS government. He stated that 6.47 lakh ration cards were indeed issued. Jagadish Reddy boldly announced he was willing to face consequences if proven incorrect and challenged the Congress leaders to do the same.

At a press conference at Telangana Bhavan, Jagadish Reddy mentioned that people were brought to a meeting in Tungaturthi at government expense for a ration card event. He accused the Chief Minister of lying and questioned why people believed these statements. He reminded everyone that in July 2021, Bhatti Vikramarka, then the Leader of the Opposition, tweeted about ration cards being distributed in his area.

Jagadish Reddy also noted that Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, a current minister and former BRS MP, had advertised about the distribution of ration cards. “I handed out ration cards alongside then MLA Rajagopal Reddy in Choutuppal,” he stated. He emphasized that over 6.47 lakh ration cards were distributed under KCR’s leadership. He repeated his readiness to face a slap if his claims were false, urging Congress leaders to prepare for the same if they were wrong.
