Hyderabad: On Wednesday, BRS leaders rallied behind senior leader T Harish Rao, praising him as a valuable asset to their party.
During a press conference, former minister S Niranjan Reddy, alongside MLAs KP Vivekanand, Mutha Gopal, and other party members, highlighted Harish Rao’s significant contributions. Reddy noted that Harish Rao was instrumental in establishing the party by setting up the flagpole at Jala Drushyam. He emphasized that criticizing Harish Rao would harm Telangana, as Rao consistently completes tasks without complaint.
Niranjan Reddy praised Harish Rao’s availability and dedication as an activist, leader, minister, and MLA. He recalled their earnest work during various by-elections, where they even slept on newspapers. Reddy expressed disbelief at current allegations against Harish Rao by those who once admired his efforts.
Reddy clarified that Harish Rao had no involvement in the departure of Eatala Rajender from the party. He mentioned that he was responsible for bringing Rajender into the party, considering him a mentor despite being younger in age. Reddy credited Harish Rao for revealing the Congress‘s weaknesses in the Legislative Assembly regarding the Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project. He dismissed claims by Kavitha that Harish Rao bowed to CM A Revanth Reddy, calling these allegations baseless.
