Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) legislator Padi Kaushik Reddy was arrested by police on Tuesday during a protest demonstration organized by the party. The BRS leaders were protesting against what they claim is a massive vote theft conspiracy allegedly involving the Congress Party with police cooperation.

The arrest took place as BRS workers and leaders gathered to voice their concerns about electoral irregularities. Along with Padi Kaushik Reddy, several other party leaders and activists were also taken into custody by the police during the protest.

The BRS has accused the ruling Congress government of orchestrating a systematic plan to manipulate voter lists and engage in electoral malpractices. Party leaders alleged that law enforcement agencies are acting in coordination with the ruling party instead of maintaining neutrality.

Padi Kaushik Reddy, who represents the Huzurabad constituency, has been vocal in his criticism of the state government on various issues. The police action came after the protesters refused to disperse despite being asked to do so. Authorities stated that the arrest was made to maintain law and order in the area and prevent any potential disruption to public peace.
