The BRS party is facing defections after losing the 2023 assembly elections. Six BRS MLCs and seven MLAs have already joined the Congress party. Alampur MLA Vijayudu and MLC Challa Venkata Ramireddy are also likely to switch to Congress soon in the presence of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
In Palamuru district, Congress won 12 MLA seats while BRS secured two in Jogulamba Gadwal district. There are rumors that BRS party MLC Challa Venkat Rami Reddy and Alampur MLA Vijayudu will soon join Congress, with Gadwal MLA Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy present.
