In Hyderabad, BRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao criticized the state government for deceiving farmers and called for protests in constituencies. He accused the Congress government and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of going back on their promise to pay a bonus of Rs 500 per quintal for paddy, now saying they will only buy fine quality paddy. Rao pointed out that most farmers grow normal quality paddy and felt this announcement was unfair to them.

After the elections, KCR observed that the Congress seemed to have lost interest in farmer welfare and was trying to deceive them again. He highlighted the absence of promised schemes like Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bharosa. The BRS party launched protests statewide to support farmers’ rights and hold the government accountable for its actions.

Expressing sadness over farmers not being able to sell their paddy at procurement centers, Rao instructed party leaders to organize daily protest programs at these centers. He reassured farmers that the BRS party would always stand with them to ensure fair prices for their crops.
