Hyderabad: BRS women leaders have accused the Congress government of targeting KT Rama Rao with what they call “vendetta politics.” They demanded that the government take action against those who misbehaved with Miss England during the Miss World Beauty Pageant events.
At a press conference at the party office, V Sunita Lakshma Reddy, K Lakshmi, and senior leader P Sabita Indra Reddy criticized the Congress for not fulfilling its promises. Sabita highlighted that the Kaleswaram Project benefits farmers, yet KCR and Harish Rao face inquiries, which she claims are politically motivated. She added that hosting the Formula E car race brought positive attention to the state. However, the Congress only provided free bus travel for women and did not deliver on promises of ₹2,500 monthly support and ₹4,000 pensions.
Sunitha Lakshma Reddy described the cases against KTR as harassment under the guise of investigations. She accused the government of wasting money on beauty pageants and urged action against those who insulted women during these events.
Kova Lakshmi stated that government ministers’ words carried no weight. She pointed out discrepancies in statements by Seethakka, Ponguleti, and the PCC President Mahesh Goud.
Padma Devender Reddy accused Congress leaders of spreading false propaganda against KTR using the “Revanth formula.” She claimed they were harassing KTR, Harish, and KCR by filing baseless cases.
