Hyderabad: On Friday, Praveen Sood, Director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), visited the city, creating a stir as the state ordered a CBI investigation into alleged issues with the Kaleshwaram project. On Saturday, he became unwell while traveling back to Hyderabad from Srisailam after performing rituals. In the afternoon, feeling uneasy, he was taken to a private hospital by his team.

The hospital reported that his health is now stable, and he is recovering. During his visit on Friday, Sood met with the local CBI unit.

His visit holds importance as the state has requested the CBI to look into the Kaleshwaram project allegations. In addition, the Supreme Court has assigned the CBI to investigate the murder of advocates Vamana Rao and his wife in Karimnagar district.
