Hyderabad: The Union Government has appointed senior BJP leader, Jishnu Dev Varma, as the new Governor of Telangana state.
The current Governor, CP Radhakrishnan, has been relieved from his duties as the in-charge Governor of Telangana.
Jishnu Dev Varma is from Tripura state. He served as the Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura. He is also the President of the Badminton Association of India.
