    Saptah Akhanda Bhajan Program in Gadwal

    A special 7-day event, the Akhanda Jyoti Saptaha Bhajana, will be held at the Sri Swayambhu Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Maldakal.

    The program will start on August 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM and continue until August 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM. The ceremonies will begin and conclude within the temple premises.

    The purpose of this event is to ensure timely rains, promote the growth of dairy crops even in dry conditions, and bless the people with health and wellbeing. Devotees, Bhajan groups, and musicians are encouraged to participate to make this event successful and receive the Lord’s grace.

    Here is the schedule for the participating bhajan groups:

    August 3, 2024: Elkur, Kurtiraul Chervu, Sasampalle, Uligepally, Gudidoddi

    August 4, 2024 (Sunday): Mallendoddi, Bingidoddi, Chinna Tandrapadu, Mangampet, Parthipuram

    August 5, 2024: Sankapuram, Bijaram, Parucharla, (Aragidda Shankarnagar), Idula Garlapadu

    August 6, 2024 (Tuesday): Pacharla, Nilipalle, Saddanonipalle, Uttanur, Tuparrala

    August 7, 2024: Tanaga, Vithalapuram, Peddapalli, Kakularam, Tummasipalle

    August 8, 2024: Nagarreddy, Ayija, Satarla, Palvai, Sanigepalli

    August 9, 2024: Tatikunta, Amaravai, Induvasi Konkala, Maddelabanda

    The Saptaha Bhajan program will be inaugurated by Mr. Bandla Krishnamohan Reddy, MLA of Gadwal. All bhajan groups must attend the event at 8:00 PM on their scheduled dates.

    The event is organized by the Maldakal and Peddoddi Gram Bhakta Bhajan Mandali. Food accommodation will be provided only for the bhajan participants.

    At the end of the Saptaha Bhajan program, on the night of August 9, 2024, devotees will gather at the Krishna shore near Agraharam river in Gadwal. On the morning of August 10, 2024, they will take a bath in the river and walk to the Sri Swayambhu Lakshmi Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Maldakal. There, they will perform Abhishekam with the Krishna river water to conclude the event. All devotees are invited to participate.

    On the final day, harmonists, tabla players, gurus, and one representative from each village will be honored.
