    In an IPL match held on Sunday, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeated Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by six wickets. KKR captain Nitish Rana and Rinku Singh both scored half-centuries and shared a 99-run partnership to chase down CSK’s target of 145 runs. KKR finished at 147 for four in 18.3 overs with Rana remaining unbeaten on 57 off 44 balls and Rinku making 54 off 43 deliveries. KKR’s win was aided by a great bowling performance from Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine, who took two wickets each. The loss puts a dent in CSK’s chances of making it to the playoffs, as they are currently in second place with 15 points.

    The IPL 2023 points table sees Gujarat Titans maintaining their top spot, while Faf du Plessis holds the orange cap for scoring the most runs in the tournament so far. He has scored 631 runs in 12 matches with an average of 57.36. Rashid Khan of Gujarat Titans leads the purple cap list for most wickets taken, with an economy of 8.04 (23 in 12 matches).
