Hyderabad: At a formal ceremony held at Raj Bhavan, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy attended the swearing-in of the state’s new Lokayukta and Upa-Lokayukta.
Governor Vishnudev Varma led the proceedings. He officially administered the oath of office to Justice A. Rajasekhar Reddy, who will now serve as the Lokayukta. Alongside him, Justice B.S. Jagjeevan Kumar took the oath as the Upa-Lokayukta.
Several top dignitaries were present at the event. These included Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukender Reddy, Assembly Speaker K. Prasad Kumar, and senior government advisors K. Keshava Rao and Mohammed Ali Shabbir.
Other high-ranking officials also took part in the ceremony, marking the official appointment of the state’s top anti-corruption watchdog leaders. The Lokayukta and Upa-Lokayukta play a key role in ensuring transparency and accountability in Telangana's governance.
