Hyderabad: Choreographer Jani Master Arrested for Sexual Assault Charges

Jani Master, a well-known choreographer, has been arrested by the Cyberabad police in Bengaluru. He is facing serious charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including sexual assault and harassment. Additionally, a POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) case has also been filed against him, which has made the investigation even more intense.

The police searched for Jani Master for five days with the help of four special teams. They eventually found him staying in a hotel in Bengaluru. After being arrested, he is now being brought back to Hyderabad for further legal action.

Due to the POCSO charges, it is very unlikely that Jani Master will be granted bail. After questioning him, the police plan to present him in court. They will also request his custody to continue their investigation.

The case started when the Narsingi police received a statement from the victim. She claimed that Jani Master raped and assaulted her in a caravan during a film shoot. She also said that he repeatedly harassed her with sexual demands and threatened to ruin her career if she did not comply. The victim further mentioned that Jani Master pressured her to marry him.

The victim had also reached out to the Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce, reporting workplace harassment. A panel, led by Jhansi, investigated the matter. The panel spoke with both the victim and Jani Master and promised to submit a full report within 90 days. They assured that the identity of the complainant would remain confidential.
