Hyderabad: The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested a Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) employee for taking a bribe of Rs 30,000 on Tuesday.
M Sunitha, a senior assistant in the property tax department in Moosapet Circle 23, was caught accepting the bribe. She had asked for the money to help with a property mutation file and set the property tax for a resident’s house.
After the resident reported the demand to the ACB, they set up a sting operation. The official was caught in the act of taking the bribe. Authorities have filed a case, and investigations continue.

In June, another GHMC official was caught by the ACB for demanding Rs 15,000 to process official tasks.
