Hyderabad is busy getting ready for Bonalu and Moharram, two major religious events. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is focused on ensuring public safety and cleanliness for these festivals.
On Wednesday, the GHMC Commissioner checked the arrangements at key locations: Simhavahini Sri Mahankali Devalayam in Lal Darwaza for Bonalu, and Bibi-ka-Alam Ashoorkhana in Dabeerpura and Azakhna Zehra Darulshifa in the Old City for Moharram.
During his visit, RV Karnan instructed officials to ensure everything is ready without causing any trouble to devotees. He stressed the importance of a smooth experience for everyone participating in the festivals. He also told zonal officers to focus on keeping the areas clean, especially where religious gatherings and processions take place.
