Hyderabad: On Sunday, GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan checked on progress in the Malakpet and Kundanbagh areas. He urged officials to speed up the work for quick completion.
In Malakpet, drainage projects aim to reduce traffic jams. Karnan told officials to work faster to prevent inconvenience. He asked the engineering team to add more staff and resources for continuous work.
Later, Karnan reviewed joint efforts by GHMC and the Water Board. He visited projects, including the one from Necklace Road Railway Station to Kundanbagh.
SE Maheshwar Reddy informed Karnan that there is no immediate traffic problem. Both Reddy and the Chief Engineer stressed that finishing the work quickly will solve issues long-term. Maintenance CE Sahadev Ratnakar, zonal SE Maheshwar Reddy, and Water Board officials joined the Commissioner.
