Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has asked the state’s revenue officials to promote a new land initiative called Bhoo Bharati. This program is meant to make land ownership more transparent and help solve land disputes. The Chief Minister spoke about this during an event at Shilpakala Vedika held to celebrate Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti.

During the event, Mr. Reddy officially launched the Bhoo Bharati Act and its online portal. He explained that the government wants to create a land system free of disputes. As part of this vision, he announced a new land database called Bhoodhaar. This system will work like Aadhaar, but for land, and will include accurate details about land sizes and boundaries after proper surveys are completed.

Many important leaders were present at the launch, including Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy, Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, as well as various MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and members of the Rythu Commission.

Mr. Reddy said the first phase of Bhoo Bharati will be tested in four mandals. He stressed that the new land laws should provide long-term solutions, as they are based on the struggles and needs of the public.

He urged revenue officials to take full responsibility for spreading the word and putting the law into action. He said the goal is to bring these officials closer to the people, unlike in the past when they were often blamed. He also warned that those found guilty of corruption would be punished, but the entire system would not be unfairly targeted.

The Chief Minister shared that the Act was created after listening to public feedback and collecting data from citizens to make sure it addresses real land problems.

He directed officials to hold revenue meetings in every village to hear farmers’ concerns and solve them. He also called revenue staff “the two eyes of farmers” and said the success of Bhoo Bharati depends on their dedication.

Finally, Mr. Reddy asked everyone to cooperate and help raise awareness about the new law. He requested that public meetings and revenue sessions be held at both village and mandal levels to make sure the Bhoo Bharati Act reaches every corner of the state.
