Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has introduced a major plan to protect water bodies and government properties. A key part of this plan is to rejuvenate the Musi River. The CM stressed the importance of sustainable development in Telangana, with a strong focus on protecting the environment.

Revanth Reddy, along with the HYDRA Commissioner and other top officials, aims to restore and preserve important water resources. The goal is to keep them clean and useful for the people of the state. During a press briefing, the CM emphasized how crucial it is to manage and maintain these natural assets for future generations. He highlighted that this effort is a key part of Telangana’s environmental strategy.

    Musi River Rejuvenation Project
The Musi River Development Corporation Limited (MRDCL) has been given the responsibility to revive the Musi River. Dana, the Managing Director (MD) of MRDCL, explained the government’s plan to clean up and restore the river, which has suffered from pollution and urban encroachment over the years.

The plan includes clearing illegal encroachments, treating sewage before it enters the river, and developing green spaces along the riverbanks. This would help maintain ecological balance. Dana expressed confidence that, with CM Revanth Reddy’s guidance, the Musi River will become a clean and thriving waterway. This transformation would not only improve the environment but also enhance tourism and the quality of life for the people of Hyderabad.
