The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Circuit Train, launched by Indian Railways, has been popular among passengers. This train is designed to showcase India’s rich cultural heritage and historical landmarks. On Saturday, another trip of the Bharat Gaurav train, named Ayodhya – Kashi: Punya Kshetra Yatra, began its journey from the Secunderabad Railway Station.
This was the 24th Bharat Gaurav Train, and it was flagged off by K. Padmaja, the Principal Chief Commercial Manager of the South Central Railway (SCR). The nine-day tour will visit important pilgrimage sites such as Gaya, Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Prayagraj.
The Punya Kshetra Yatra offers passengers from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh a special opportunity to visit the newly constructed Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya and the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the Jyotirlingas. Passengers can also visit Gaya to perform the Pind pradan ritual, which is a way to pay homage to their ancestors.
For the convenience of travelers, the train offers boarding and de-boarding facilities at various stations in Telangana, including Bhongir, Jangaon, Kazipet, Warangal, Mahbubabad, Dornakal, Khammam, and Madhira. In Andhra Pradesh, passengers can board at Vijayawada, Eluru, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Tuni, Vizag (Pendurthi), and Vizianagaram.
Arun Kumar Jain, the General Manager of SCR, expressed his happiness about the positive response from passengers. He mentioned that Bharat Gaurav trains are playing an important role in promoting spiritual tourism across India. He also encouraged passengers to make use of this opportunity to visit culturally and historically significant places.
