Nagar Kurnool: Collector Badavath Santosh highlighted the importance of youth in shaping the future of the country. He encouraged young people to stay focused on their goals and avoid harmful addictions. On Friday, during a video conference at the Nagar Kurnool Collectorate, he led a meeting of the district’s Narcotics Control Committee.
The meeting was attended by District SP Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath and other key officials. The focus of the discussion was on drug use and trafficking in the district. The Collector emphasized the dangers of substances like alcohol, marijuana, and other drugs, stating that they can negatively affect a person’s life and responsibilities. He called for everyone to work together to create a society free from drug abuse. Additionally, he instructed district officials to come up with a plan to control drug use. He also pushed for schools and colleges to form anti-drug committees immediately.
SP Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath added that strict steps are already being taken to stop drug activities in the district. He mentioned that a large awareness campaign had recently taken place in Kollapur and expressed hope that collective efforts would help eliminate marijuana trafficking completely.
