Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santosh has given clear instructions to Booth Level Officers (BLOs) to carry out a detailed door-to-door survey to ensure the voter list is accurate and without errors. This is part of the ongoing Special Summary Revision process.
On Tuesday, Telangana State Chief Electoral Officer C. Sudarshan Reddy held a video conference with district collectors. During the meeting, he shared important guidelines about the voter list. He stressed that each polling station must have a dedicated BLO to conduct a house-to-house survey. This survey will help collect Form 6 from new voters and Forms 7 and 8 to update details for those who have passed away or moved permanently. He also instructed Booth Level Supervisors and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) to keep a close eye on the process. Additionally, proposals for adjusting polling stations should be prepared and uploaded to the ERO Net, and the details for printing new voter EPIC cards should be sent without delay.
After the conference, District Collector Santosh instructed local officials to make sure BLOs carry out the surveys carefully and collect accurate information. He also stressed the importance of quickly removing the names of deceased or permanently relocated individuals from the voter list. The Collector asked Tahsildars to pay special attention to ensure the voter list remains error-free.
Additional Collector (Revenue) Srinivas Rao and other key officials were present during the meeting.
