Jogulamba Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santosh has urged officials to speed up the construction of homes under the Indiramma Housing Scheme. On Monday, he visited Gopal Dinne village in Itikyala Mandal to check the status of the ongoing housing projects.
During his visit, the Collector spoke directly with beneficiaries. He asked about the progress and reminded them to use the government’s financial support wisely to complete the houses quickly. He stressed that the funds must be used properly to avoid any delays.
The Telangana government is pushing the Indiramma Housing Scheme as a top priority. Under the scheme, each approved beneficiary receives ₹5 lakh in stages. The Collector made it clear that construction should start and finish without unnecessary waiting, so families can benefit fully.
He also told Panchayat Secretaries to guide and motivate people in completing their homes faster. Officials from the housing department received instructions to teach cost-saving construction techniques to beneficiaries.
According to the latest update, out of the houses sanctioned in the village, 55 homes are at the basement stage, and 8 homes are already finished. Additionally, the first ₹1 lakh installment has been given to three beneficiaries.
The Collector highlighted the importance of uploading construction updates regularly on the official app. This ensures that the remaining funds are released smoothly and on time. He stressed that money will be sent directly to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts as work progresses.
To wrap up the visit, he called for strong coordination between all departments to make sure the housing projects are completed without delay.
Officials including MPDO Azhar Mohinuddin, Housing PD Srinivasulu, and several others joined the inspection alongside local beneficiaries.
