Khammam: District Collector Anudeep Durishetty emphasized the importance of meeting the goals set for Vana Mahotsavam. On Saturday, he conducted a review with officials at the Penuballi Mandal MPDO office, focusing on Vana Mahotsavam activities and the Employment Guarantee Scheme.
Anudeep highlighted the critical role of trees for human survival. He stressed the need to plant and maintain saplings as part of Vana Mahotsavam. He also mentioned that the plan should include the number of saplings available in nurseries and the locations identified for planting. For avenue plantations, only plants taller than 8 feet should be used.
The Collector stated his intention to plant 400 trees per kilometer along highways. He also reviewed the employment guarantee targets for the mandal. He inquired about the number of working days, the types of projects undertaken, and the key activities carried out.
