On Tuesday, TPCC Secretary Meesala Prakash handed over a memorandum to S.E. Smart City, Water supply, Pravin Chandra in Warangal. In the memorandum, Prakash demanded that the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) ensure that drinking water is supplied to the residents. He explained to Chandra about the drinking water crisis faced by the people living in 15 divisions that come under the supply line of Desaipet Filter Bed. Prakash pointed out that almost every other day, the water supply comes to a halt due to repairs in the pipelines. He also criticized the GWMC officials for not giving prior intimation to the residents about the water supply stoppage. Prakash found fault with the officials for indiscriminate digging in the name of laying Mission Bhagiratha pipelines. He said that the officials need to complete all the repairs in the pipeline and filter beds to ensure regular water supply in the city during summer. Speaking to The Hans India, Prakash expressed his disappointment with the ill-preparedness of GWMC to tackle the summer demand for drinking water. He criticized the GWMC administration and the ruling BRS leaders for their lackadaisical approach towards this issue.
