The Congress party has accused former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao of using the issue of Krishna waters for political gain in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Minister Jupally Krishna Rao, along with CWC member Challa Vamsichand Reddy, MLAs V Shankar and Anirudh Reddy, made these allegations during a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan. They claimed that KCR was creating a fuss over the issue out of fear for his political survival. They also predicted that the BRS party would not win any seats in the Parliamentary elections and that many party members would be joining Congress after the elections. The Minister further stated that during its 10-year rule, the BRS leadership had unfairly distributed the state’s water resources, particularly in Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, and Khammam districts.
