    In the Khammam Parliamentary election, Congress candidate Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy won by a large margin, receiving 4,67,847 votes. This was a record-breaking victory, with Raghuram Reddy beating BRS candidate Nama Nageswara Rao who received 2,99,082 votes. The total number of voters in Khammam Parliament was 12,41,135 out of 16,31,039 registered voters.

    The percentage of votes received by Congress and BRS in the election were 54% and 34% respectively. This was a significant increase compared to past elections, with Congress winning twelve out of eighteen seats. The majority obtained by Raghuram Reddy this time was over 2 lakh votes.

    In total, there have been eighteen sittings of the Khammam Lok Sabha, with Congress emerging victorious twelve times. The recent win by Raghuram Reddy added to Congress’ track record of success in the region.
