Hyderabad: To win the Jubilee Hills bypoll, the Congress party is focusing on strengthening its base at the booth level. Each incharge is tasked with overseeing more than a dozen booths to engage voters effectively.
At a review meeting, attended by Ministers Thummala Nageswara Rao, Vivek Venkatswamy, and other incharges, it was decided to hold a party workers meeting on August 26. This meeting will feature PCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud after he finishes his Janahita Padayatra’s second phase.
To secure a win in Jubilee Hills, the Congress has assigned about 20 Corporation chairmen as booth-level incharges. Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar, Vivek Venkataswamy, and Thummala Nageshwar Rao are managing the campaign efforts. “We handle 15 to 20 booths each to strengthen our organization. A workers meeting on August 20 is part of our strategic efforts,” shared a Corporation chairman.
In Jubilee Hills, Mahesh Goud will join the party workers meeting. Earlier this month, at a meeting at Thummala’s residence, the PCC assigned seven Corporation chairmen to each Minister. Vivek leads a team of eight, while Ponnam and Thummala each lead seven booth-level incharges.
Starting August 24, Mahesh Goud resumes his Janahita Padayatra from Choppadandi constituency. This journey includes a public meeting in Jubilee Hills on August 26. The yatra begins at 5 pm on August 24 from Choppadandi. After an overnight stay, Goud will conduct Shramadanam on August 25 from 7 am to 9 am with local members. A meeting in Karimnagar district follows at 10:30 am, before resuming the yatra at 5 pm in Vardhannapet constituency.
On August 26, after camping in Vardhannapet, another Shramadanam will occur. A meeting in Warangal district will be held at 10:30 am. The day concludes with a party workers meeting in Jubilee Hills in the evening.
