The Congress party in the state is working hard to find the right candidates for Lok Sabha seats in Nalgonda, Bhongir, Khammam, Peddapalli, and Nagarkurnool. They have shortlisted candidates for about 10 to 11 constituencies, and party leaders will discuss this issue with AICC leaders before making a decision.

With members of the Gandhi family not likely to contest, there are about 12 candidates vying for the party ticket in Khammam. In Peddapalli, there are 29 aspirants, including prominent names like Gaddam Vamsi Krishna and PCC secretary Perka Shyam. Nalgonda and Bhongir, known as Congress strongholds, also have multiple contenders for the party ticket.
