Hyderabad: On Saturday, the Telangana Congress commemorated the 83rd anniversary of the Quit India Movement. The event honored the courageous freedom fighters who contributed to India’s independence.
At Gandhi Bhavan, the party’s headquarters, TPCC leader Mahesh Kumar Goud raised the National Flag. He paid heartfelt respects to those who sacrificed their lives for the nation. A presentation on the Election Commission, previously shared by Rahul Gandhi, was also displayed.
Prominent attendees included Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Jupally Krishna Rao, former MP V. Hanumantha Rao, and others. During the event, Goud accused the national BJP government of trying to change the Constitution.
He criticized the Election Commission, alleging it acts as a BJP front. Goud stated that those who question the government are unfairly labeled as traitors.
