Four Madiga MLAs from Hyderabad have traveled to Delhi to push for a spot in the upcoming Cabinet expansion. They met AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan recently and have now discussed their cause with K C Venugopal, the party secretary.
Adluri Laxman Kumar, the Dharmapuri MLA, led the group, which includes Manakondur MLA Kavvampally Satyanarayana, Thungathurthi MLA Mandula Samuel, and Jukkal MLA T Laxmikantha Rao. They asked the AICC leader to ensure the Madiga community is represented in the Cabinet.
The MLAs explained that they are in the national capital after bringing up the issue with the State leadership. They believe it is a fair request and argue that the Madigas deserve a Cabinet position. They also mentioned the Madiga community’s long-standing support for the Congress and stated they have no issue with the inclusion of the Malas in the Cabinet.
