Hyderabad: MLC Balmoor Venkat held a protest near the My Home Vihanga residential complex on Tuesday. He claimed that the buildings were built on the same government land in Kancha Gachibowli. Venkat accused BRS leader K.T. Rama Rao of being dishonest for allowing the land to be given to a private company when he was the Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development.

Venkat was joined by NSUI leaders and party workers as they shouted slogans against both the BRS and BJP. He said that both parties were using the issue for political gain and didn’t care about the students of the University of Hyderabad (HCU). He pointed out that 25 acres of land from survey number 25 were given to My Home Vihanga during BRS rule. Big buildings were constructed there, and a 100-feet road was built just for two buildings.

He also accused former Minister Srinivas Goud of trying to take over 20 acres of land that was meant for trade unions by using fake names. Venkat said Goud was worried about losing that land to the government. He questioned why no investigation was being done into My Home Vihanga, which he said was built on government land. He also criticized K.T. Rama Rao for not considering the environmental damage that could happen when he gave away the 25 acres.
