BRS MLA and former minister Harish Rao has accused the Congress government of lying about the implementation of six guarantees. He made these claims during a discussion on the white paper released by Deputy CM Bhatti Vikramarka regarding the state’s economic situation.
Harish Rao alleged that CM Revanth Reddy collaborated with his old boss, indirectly referring to Chandrababu Naidu, to release the white paper. He also claimed that a retired IAS officer from Andhra Pradesh played a role in preparing the document. However, Minister Sridhar Babu objected to these allegations.
Harish Rao criticized the white paper for only focusing on debts and not mentioning the increase in income. He warned that spreading false information about the state’s economic situation would discourage investment and harm job opportunities. Additionally, he mentioned that Telangana has accumulated a significant debt burden due to the COVID-19 pandemic and central government policies. Despite this, Telangana remains one of the top 5 states contributing to the country’s GDP and boasts the highest per capita income growth.
