Hyderabad: The Congress Party strongly criticized BJP MP Eatala Rajender on Sunday for his harsh comments about Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. They described his remarks as “abusive,” “desperate,” and full of “political frustration.”
Mujahid Alam Khan, a senior Congress leader, slammed Eatala in a sharp statement. He said Eatala isn’t interested in helping the people of Telangana but is only trying to stay relevant in politics. “His outburst is not about public interest. It’s a show meant to draw attention from BJP leaders. He’s clearly aiming for the State BJP President post,” Mujahid said.
He reminded the public of Eatala’s past. “Let’s not forget that Eatala once stood by KCR, supporting every policy of the BRS government. He ignored their failures. Now, he’s trying to act like a bold BJP leader by attacking Revanth Reddy, just to win favor with his new party,” Mujahid added.
This sharp response came after Eatala’s recent press meet where he called the Chief Minister a “psycho” and a “sadist.” He also compared the Congress-led government to a “Tughlaq regime,” suggesting chaos and poor governance.
Mujahid didn’t stop there. He questioned Eatala’s track record, especially from his time as Finance Minister under KCR. “This is the same man who helped push Telangana into a massive ₹7 lakh crore debt. The state once had a revenue surplus. He played a major role in turning it into an economic burden,” he said.
The Congress made it clear they believe Eatala’s attacks are not about governance or people’s welfare, but purely about personal ambition and political survival.
