In Hyderabad, MA Faheem, the Chairman of the State Food Corporation, criticized BRS leader Harish Rao for spreading false claims about how the State government handled a fire at the Sigachi Industries Limited factory in Pashamylaram. Faheem accused Harish Rao of exploiting the tragedy for political gain.
Faheem assured the media that the government is committed to compensating the victims’ families of the Sigachi factory fire. So far, 46 families have received Rs 1 lakh each, and 15 individuals have been given Rs 10 lakh as compensation.
He mentioned that officials responded quickly to the Sigachi incident. Health Minister Damodara Rajanarsimha and Medak In-charge Minister Vivek Venkat Swamy were among the first to arrive at the site. Faheem accused Harish Rao and KTR of spreading lies about the government’s efforts.
Faheem stated that he verified the compensation details with district authorities. Families of the missing have received Rs 15 lakh each. He emphasized that misinformation is being spread to tarnish the government’s reputation.
