Urumadla (Nalgonda): As part of the government’s fine rice scheme, several leaders visited a local family to show their support for the program. Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy, Nakrekal MLA Vemula Veeresham, and Telangana Dairy Development Corporation Chairman Gutha Amit Reddy went to the home of Janardhan, a white ration card holder and Dalit beneficiary, in Urumadla village of Chityal mandal, Nalgonda district.
During their visit, they shared a meal of fine rice with Janardhan’s family. This was done to highlight the benefits of the fine rice scheme for poor families in the state.
Speaking at the event, Gutha Sukhender Reddy said the scheme is helping low-income households by giving them access to better quality rice. He explained that in the past, poor families had to sell their coarse rice and buy fine rice from middlemen, which caused them extra hardship.
Now, thanks to the fine rice scheme introduced under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, families can eat quality rice three times a day without extra cost. Gutha praised the government for supporting the poor and also appreciated Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy and other officials for making sure the program runs smoothly.
Local leaders and community members were also present at the event to show their support.
