Wanaparthy: The Communist Party of India (CPI-M) in Wanaparthy has asked the government to help people whose houses collapsed due to heavy rains. The district secretary, MD Jabbar, said on Wednesday that the government should give Rs 1 lakh to each affected family.

Jabbar suggested that new houses should be provided to these families under the Pradhan Mantri Yojana scheme. He mentioned that houses should be built both in the district center and in the villages, similar to the ones that were destroyed.

He made these comments after talking to homeowners in Chirkapalli village, whose houses were recently damaged by the rain. Jabbar also referred to a statement made by the Revenue Minister, who said that Indiramma houses would be provided to those who lost their homes, but under the PMHY scheme.
