Warangal: On Monday, members of the Communist Party of India (CPI), led by the party’s State Assistant Secretary Takkalapally Srinivas Rao, held a protest at Kaloji Junction in Hanumakonda. They were expressing their frustration with the BJP-led Central Government for not addressing the problems faced by the common people.
Rao criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for failing to control the rising prices of essential goods, which he said is making life harder for the poor. He also said that the Prime Minister did nothing while the economy weakened.
According to Rao, unemployment is increasing because of government policies that favor private companies. He also accused the BJP of trying to gain votes by promoting religious divisions.
Rao mentioned that the CPI has approached the Supreme Court to challenge the Waqf Amendment Act, saying it violates the constitutional rights of Muslims.
He further alleged that the BJP is using central investigation agencies like the Enforcement Directorate (ED), the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), and the Income Tax Department (IT) to harass opposition leaders.
Several senior CPI leaders, including Karre Bikshapathi, Adari Srinivas, Ashok Stalin, Thota Bikshapathi, Maddela Yellesh, and Mothe Linga Reddy, also took part in the protest.
