During the first conference of DHPS held at Osmania University, CPI state secretary Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao demanded that the BJP abolish the controversial treaty of Hindu religion, Manusmriti, if it truly represents the Hindu community in the country. He emphasized that the left party’s objective is to achieve a modern society without any caste or religious inequalities. Rao called upon the people to fight against inequalities, insecurity, communal and caste hatred.

In his address, Rao highlighted that the wealth of the country is concentrated in the hands of industrialists like Gautam Adani and Ambani. He expressed disappointment that the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, was extending his complete support to them in a shameful manner. Rao also pointed out that the cries of hunger from the poor in the country were not being heard by the PM and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Rao questioned how the BJP plans to bring in the rule of Rama in the country when its people are facing hunger, inequality, and untouchability. The national president of all India Dalit rights forum and former MLA Ramamurthy also spoke at the event. Overall, the conference aimed to raise awareness and promote action against social inequalities and discrimination.
